Upon arrival

After arriving at the host university, students must send the Certificate of Arrival and their planned departure information by email to the UNWE Mobilities Division within the first five days.

During the mobility

During the semester, students follow the study programme agreed in their Learning Agreement. If changes are necessary, they must be made within one month after the beginning of the semester at the host university and approved by:

  • the student;

  • the host university;

  • UNWE.

The mobility period ends after the completion of the semester, the examination period, and the successful completion of the agreed academic activities.

Reporting after return

After returning to Bulgaria, students must submit the required reporting documents within one week. These usually include:

  • Transcript of Record - provided from the host university;

  • Certificate of Stay / Attendance confirming the exact dates of mobility;

  • Learning Agreement / OLA, including any approved changes;

  • copies of travel documents;

  • online participant report submitted through the European Commission system;

  • final OLS language test.

Students who complete a full academic year mobility must also submit the required documents after the first semester in order to continue the mobility in the second semester.

Recognition of studies

Courses successfully completed at the host university, together with the corresponding ECTS credits, are recognized by UNWE.

For the recognition procedure, students must submit the required documents to the Verification and Recognition Office, including:

  • application form for credit transfer and recognition;

  • course syllabi for completed subjects;

  • Transcript of Records;

  • all versions of the Learning Agreement, including approved changes.

The recognition procedure usually takes about one month after the Transcript of Records is received.

Important: If the Transcript of Records has not yet been issued by the host university, students should still submit the other required documents within the deadline, and send the transcript later by email as soon as it becomes available.

Final grant payment

After all reporting documents are submitted and verified, the final duration of the mobility is confirmed and the remaining part of the Erasmus grant is paid.
